While there is a small section on “safe practices” in the gas installation code, the primary legislation for workplace safety in gas installations is the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015(external link).

The Gas Act, the Electricity Act and the HSWA Act contain requirements to report certain accidents and incidents.

If an electricity or gas accident occurs in a workplace, generally the accident will be treated as a workplace issue.
