We are operating at reduced capacity due to COVID-19 Alert Level Two restrictions. Please only call our 0800 number if someone is at serious risk of harm or has been seriously injured, become seriously ill, or died as a result of work.
For other notifications please complete our online forms at Notify WorkSafe.
If you’ve been exposed to asbestos, you can register with the Asbestos Exposure Database.
If you have been exposed to asbestos, through paid work or elsewhere, you can register with the Asbestos Exposure Register (AER).
The AER is a private register, with only the registrar and the client (or client approved 3rd party) can access the information held.
The register is used for research purposes within WorkSafe New Zealand so that we are able to better understand the effects of asbestos exposure in New Zealand. The register is not used to prompt clients to receive medical treatment or check-ups.
Any further questions, please email the registrar at AERRegistrar@worksafe.govt.nz
