Alert: Notifications and correspondence during COVID-19 restrictions

WorkSafe has exempted Monokia Holdings Ltd from compliance with regulations 15.13, 15.16 and 15.17 of the Health and Safety at Work (Hazardous Substances) Regulations 2017.
An exemption has been granted by WorkSafe in accordance with section 220 of the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015 to Monokia Holdings Ltd to allow a cylinder with the serial number (BN8428) to be filled and used in New Zealand while in installed in a motorhome.
The exemption is made subject to the following conditions:
- This exemption is limited to the cylinder with the serial number BN8428 and to the motorhome (VIN 4UZR6BR11T2308442) in which it was imported. It is not a type approval for other cylinders of similar or identical design.
- Gas Fire Cylinder Services Ltd must ensure that the letters LAB7708SP and its test station mark are stamped on this cylinder in accordance with regulation 15.60.
- Monokia Holdings Ltd must fix a plate on the motorhome beside the cylinder fill point stating “not to be filled unless within test” and to enable marking with the last test date by a test station.
- Monokia Holdings Ltd must provide WorkSafe with the registration number of the motorhome as soon as it is registered for adding to the public record of special cylinders.
The exemption takes effect on 29 June 2018 and expires on 29 June 2023 unless it is sooner replaced or revoked.
